Requirements:

Summer Japanese Program in Tokyo: Youth Immersion (E) (age 14-18).  The Youth Immersion program is designed for those students who want to focus on language learning along with some culture experiences.  Students spend full day language classes and intensive interactions with the host families, some culture experience with host families.  Supervision is provided to students under18, and all staff and host families are trained for safety issues.  The stream has beginner and intermediate Japanese level classes, and all students stay with their host families.  This streams provide comprehensive pre-departure preparations and fee is charged in USD.

Summer Japanese Program in Tokyo: Culture Discovery (A, B, C )  (age 16 and above) The minimum age for this program is 16 years old or will be at high school after this summer, please note that it will be a mixed group with both high school and college students, it is designed for students who want some independence and free time to explore the city themselves.  The programs are designed with a mix of language lessons, culture experiences and trips.   The students fees are charged in Japanese yen.  This program features all levels of Japanese language classes, mix of language, culture and excursions, flexible housing choices.

 Our students come from different countries around the world, from USA, Canada, and European countries, etc. It is a great opportunity to make new friends.

* Currency Exchange Rates:
The Japan Summer: Culture Discovery Program fees are paid directly to Japan in Japanese Yen.  Currency exchange rates vary on dates.

* Group Plan:
We encourage you to bring friends to share the experience, each student receives a $75 rebate.

* Deadlines:
Program may close early if host family spaces are filled.  After deadline applications are only taken if there is space left.  

**  Fees:
Program fee is subject to change without prior notice.
Air ticket is not included in the program fee, if you need travel agency information please contact us.
Registered students please follow the fee amount and dates in your student information sheet.

The program fee includes:

Japan Summer: Youth Immersion: (Tokyo E)
     Tuition and textbook for all courses;
     Homestay only;
     Meals except lunch on school days;
     Culture activities and city trips;
     Commuting pass from host family's house to school;
     TWO way airport transfer: Airport pickup and drop offs;
     Arrival and departure group gathering;
     Comprehensive pre-departure guide and preparation; 
     Travel medical insurance (certain conditions apply);

Japan Summer: Culture Discovery (Tokyo A, B & C)
     Tuition and textbook for all courses;
     Accommodation: homestay, dormitory or apartment (subject to a surcharge);
     Homestay meals except lunch on school days (dormitory or apartment does not have meals);
     Variety of culture activities, city and overnight trips;
     Airport pickup (NO drop off); 
     Pre-departure guide;

Note:
Air fare is not included in the program fee;
Meals are only provided by homestay, not provided for dormitory or apartment options.  Dormitories are provided by third party companies, they have shared kitchens and washrooms.  For both dormitories and apartments, a deposit is required, it will be refunded when students move out after deducting the cleaning, electricity and damage charges.

About financial aid:

Presently we have no major financial aid available to students under 18. Limited bursaries (in the amount of $300 USD each) maybe applied, please ask us for application form. Your school counsellor or teacher is required to sign the form

 Travel Plan:

For all students, we will pick you up at the Tokyo Narita Airport (please check with us if you arrive Haneda airport) on the scheduled arrival date.  Customs information and airport maps will be sent to you prior to departure.  Travel agency contacts can be provided to students departure from North America. 

It is recommended that you compare the air travel between your travel agent and the one we referred to find one that best suit your needs.  The travel agency we referred is dedicated to Japan traveling, they often have competitive rates.
